Vaco Baissac returns

The work prolongs the artist’s existence… The public will thus be able to rediscover Vaco Baissac, who passed away last February, through some sixty paintings emblematic of his visual research. This retrospective will brighten up two floors of the Caudan Arts Centre with its flamboyant colors until September 30, 2024, giving the public plenty of time to discover the artist who liked to say “I paint the Creole language”. Creole is one of the three themes explored in the exhibition, along with nature and women. The paintings have been carefully selected from his personal collection or loaned by art lovers. Lectures, workshops and guided tours will be offered to the public.
