A 24/7 veterinary clinic

Sometimes pets fall ill at night or at weekends, outside the opening hours of veterinary clinics, and many owners find themselves at a loss. Fortunately, Vetmania and Veterinaire.mu have joined forces to offer a brand new 24/7 emergency veterinary service in Grand-Baie and Albion, soon to be extended to other parts of the island.

A 24/7 veterinary service for our animal friends? It’s just what we needed! That’s why the teams at Vetmania and Veterinaire.mu decided to join forces to create a service that provides access to veterinary care, even in the middle of the night.

“Because an accident can happen at any time, because your pet may unfortunately fall ill outside opening hours, our telephone lines are transferred directly to the emergency clinic available in Albion or Grand-Baie, where an on-call vet is present every night, weekend and public holiday”, explains Dr. Jowad Timol, head vet at Vétérinaire.mu, associated with Vetmania, a company created by Om Lombard. The two animal enthusiasts have found the winning formula to provide a service that is highly popular with pet owners, treating, as its name suggests, only emergencies: injured, poisoned or sick animals, or those requiring caesarean sections. No vaccinations or grooming!

Om Lombard and Dr. Jowad Timol hope to open another branch in Moka in July.
