Here, newspapers, magazines and paper destined for the dumpster are transformed into jewelry and other decorative or tableware items by the fairy-like fingers of twenty-six women – initially housewives – trained by the ENL Foundation in creative and commercial recycling.

After twelve years of existence, the 100% women’s social enterprise has a very positive human and economic balance sheet. While numerous outings are regularly organized with the craftswomen, such as last year’s trip to Rodrigues, workshops are dedicated to local women and ENL Group employees. In addition to raising ecological awareness and promoting sustainable consumption and production, Bazart Kreasion’s colorful handcrafted creations meet the needs of hotels with an inclusive approach.
To give your home a totally upcycling Christmas atmosphere, or to offer you a local selection of gift ideas, the talented and meticulous craftswomen are hard at work. Sorted by color, then cut, folded and wrapped around a stick, strips of paper are transformed into beads, before being glued and varnished, to become incredible jewelry or decorative hangers. Inspired by the origami technique, a square of paper folded, folded, folded again… is transformed into an adorable little tree which, topped with a string, perfectly illustrates the spirit of Christmas!
The various creations – plates, bowls, trivets, clutches, bracelets, long necklaces, earrings, candles… – are sold at ReStore, the eco-friendly boutique to be launched in 2022 at the entrance to Vivea Business Park in Moka. Come and discover all these creations and support the artistic initiative made in Mauritius!
