The Brink’s showroom at Pinpoint Business Park in Calebasses is a friendly, fun place to discover the world of the American company founded in 1859, and is definitely much more than a sales and advice area!
Established in Mauritius in 2006, Brink’s now has a strong presence in the Indian Ocean and employs over 2,300 people in the country. More than 46,000 cameras are in action, 13,000,000 banknotes are processed every month and over 9,000 systems are connected to the island’s central surveillance system.
Brink’s Mauritius Sales Director Fabien de Comarmond has every reason to be proud of the company’s local concept store, due to open in October 2023 at Pinpoint Business Park, which reflects its “glocal” identity – a contraction of global and local. The company’s positioning around its four core businesses – corporate security, home protection, cash management and transportation, consulting and training – is clearly visible here. Visitors can discover or rediscover the evolution of the company since its creation, its world of expertise and its ultra-high-performance technological tools that meet international standards. The 100m2 space is a friendly place to meet customers – both private and professional – train partners and employees, and demonstrate equipment and services.
Innovative installations
At the entrance to the showroom, a brick wall is adorned with photos and historical anecdotes. In 1969, Brink’s transported moon rocks to scientists all over the world, and in 1995, the Beatles’ posthumous Anthology record to the Virgin store on the Champs Élysées. A cleanly designed world map shows Brink’s presence in 52 countries. Further on, the CompuSafes® (a hundred of which have already been installed in Mauritius) are on display. These intelligent safes allow Brink’s to secure, account for and credit company bank receipts, without the need to travel. Several screens also display, in impressive resolution, all the perimeters of Pinpoint Business Park secured by Brink’s, for a real-time demonstration of an intelligent, reliable and proven remote surveillance system. Finally, the site offers a virtual reality experience, using headsets and controllers: a 360° interactive immersion allows visitors to witness a break-in attempt at a villa, and the process of intervention by teams as soon as the alarm is triggered.
“Safety is one of the basic needs of every individual. It’s always been a priority to protect your home, your family and your possessions. That’s why Brink’s is moving forward with affordable solutions, particularly in terms of equipment rental, starting at 2045 rupees per month. The offer includes supply, alarm system installation, maintenance, remote surveillance and intervention”, explains Fabien de Comarmond.
