Organized by Sunlife, The Charity Golf Competition 2023 brought together some sixty golfers on Île aux Cerfs on September 16. A great sporting event, in keeping with the Sun’s charitable aims. life Children Cancer Trust.

The seventh edition of the committed tournament raised 2.4 million rupees (2.1 million last year) for the pediatric cancer unit at Victoria Hospital in Candos. Supported by Sunlife since 2008, this is the only public service on the island entirely and solely dedicated to children with cancer. To date, the funds raised through the hotel group’s various initiatives have had a positive impact on the lives of over a thousand sick children! This year, the funds will be used, among other things, to renovate the department’s playroom, making it even more cheerful and welcoming for young patients and their families, under the benevolent gaze of mascot Izzy the bee.
The competition on the emblematic 18-hole course on Ile aux Cerfs took place in scramble format and in teams of 4, and was won by Fabrice, Virgile, Mathis and Charles Henaut, with 56 points.
Once again, let’s underline the generosity of golfers, partners and sponsors – Solea Vacances, Atcom, World Leisure Holidays, SKC Surat, SBM, SMAG, City broker, Mercoeur Investment, Bank One, Afrasia Bank and Sunlife, of course – who each year combine the solidarity of the island’s golfing world with the beauty of the award-winning Ile aux Cerfs course!
