As part of the Côte d’Or Smart City, developed by Landscope Mauritius, the Côte d’Or Technopole already estimates that to over 25 billion rupees of investment by present and future operators. Here’s a look back at this major project. Delphine Raimond
While 80% of the business park is already leased, Naila Hanoomanjee, CEO of Landscope Mauritius, announced at the launch at the end of October: “By June 2024, over 4 billion rupees will be invested in development projects creating economic opportunities.” This November, the park will also be home to the new headquarters of the Mauritius Revenue Authority – 13,000m2 of office space and 1,000 employees grouped together on a single site – which will use the occasion to launch a new strategy of intelligent tax administration, exploiting the advantages of data analysis and AI. Medical device manufacturer Ava Technopark, the first company to move in, has been operational since last November.
Durability
Destined to become a model of sustainable economic development, the Côte d’Or Technopole is being developed in line with ecological norms and standards, to optimize energy efficiency, water use and waste recycling.
Profitability
This hub of technological innovation offers a host of advantages to developers and other investors: exemption from income tax for eight years; exemption from land transfer tax, registration duties and customs duties on imports; VAT recovery on real estate and capital goods.

The Business Park will eventually bring together more than 15,000 people in the fields of medical and food high-tech, advanced agriculture, university education, research and intelligent development, biotech, fintech, information and communication technologies…
