Entering the showroom of Entrepôt de la Pierre, founded and run by Olaf Masson and located since February at PinPoint Business Park in Calebasses, is like visiting a museum. Here, porcelain, ceramics, mosaics, tiles with unusual patterns, aspects and dimensions… are transformed into works of art.
For its tenth anniversary, Entrepôt de la Pierre – temple of elegance, design and decoration – offers a showroom worthy of the occasion! What’s immediately striking about this spacious showroom is its refinement, its perfect layout, its immersion in the quintessence of luxury and renowned Italian and Spanish craftsmanship.
The sales team knows its stuff. The tile formats, the infinite choice of references, colors, patterns and prints. The possibilities of color combinations and suppliers… If the purpose of my visit is professional, I find myself imagining a new customized project, a new interior design. Because here, anything is possible, on any type of surface, indoors or out. I discover not only the decorative tiles and slabs of unimagined dimensions that the brand was the first to offer in Maurice, but also their ability to cover surfaces other than floors or walls. Here, a sheet of tile in XXL version is transformed into a “wood effect” desk with harmonious curves; into a “marble effect” bench playing with the lines and curves of a design as imposing as it is elaborate; into an ultra-modern countertop, created from a single block and evoking conviviality… I’m introduced to a revolutionary hi-tech process that personalizes large-format tiles – Design your slabs – by printing on them the illustration of your choice, for a stunning result!
In this art gallery, sample displays are like jewelry boxes. The play of light and perspective is complemented by a variety of renderings: raw, matte or glossy. I stroll along the edge of a swimming pool, its coping, grates and steps all made of the same sand-toned ceramic. My eyes land on a huge mosaic panel by SICIS, Italy’s leading tile manufacturer. Broken and assembled by hand, the small tiles give life to the parrots of an extraordinary garden, with colors both soft and luminous. From the same supplier, the Vetrite glass tiles (54 references) are like paintings! The quality of the craftsmanship behind each collection – Wow, Peronda, Mutina… – is awe-inspiring!
