Groupe Attitude’s Talk Series #4, about ethical and committed brands

Initiated in 2021 by the Attitude hotel group, the Talk Series are discussions of exchange and sharing that highlight subjects inspiring today’s companies to reinvent tomorrow’s world. The 4 e issue of Talk Series, which took place in early February at the Quartier des Serres, focused on “From France to Mauritius: ethical and committed brands meet”. Another success!

Since the notions of ecology and sustainable development have taken center stage, consumers have witnessed an increasingly widespread phenomenon of corporate commitment to responsible, sustainable, ethical or ecological approaches.

It was precisely to give a voice to these socially and locally committed brands that the Attitude group chose this theme for its Talk Series #4, and invited three French entrepreneurs who have created ethical brands.

Guests of choice

With Elizabeth de Marcy Chelin, founder of My Pop-Up Store – a Mauritian company representing 90 local brands,40 of which aresold in Attitude’s Otentik Bazar boutiques – as master of ceremonies, the hotel group’s latest Talk Series welcomed three rising figures in French-style ethical enterprise.

Alison Cavaillé, founder of Tajinebanane, a breastfeeding garment company, Magali Avignon d’Enamoura, designer of vacation homes and collections of precious objects handcrafted in Provence, and Élodie Fagot, director of Tea Heritage, teas and herbal teas made from ingredients sourced from organic and responsible agriculture. The meeting of these French entrepreneurs with their Mauritian counterparts, such as The Kreol Republic, Indika and Pigment it, among others, gave rise to instructive round-table discussions that were sure to inspire the various entrepreneurs in attendance.

Round tables as enriching as each other

Attitude’s Talk Series are always discussions where sharing knowledge creates the most beautiful connections! The first exchange, “Tea, plants and fruit”, demonstrated how nature can be the source of innovation: Élodie Fagot from Tea Heritage, Alexandre Oxenham from Takamaka, known on the island for its letchi wines, and Fabien Boullé from Indika, for its alicaments, loved discussing the subject! The second, “Objets d’art et décoration”, gave craftswomen Magali Avignon of Enamoura, Nadine Chelin of Pigment it and Hélène de Senneville of Ateliers HDS the opportunity to discuss the evolution of purchasing behavior in their sector. And finally, the last conversation on “Fashion, ready-to-wear”, with Alison Cavaillé from Tajinebanane, Marème Diaban from The Kreol Republic and Talia Buon from Petite Cabotine, sparked interest around the environmental impact of the textile industry.

Another unforgettable edition!
