Created in 2021, Moris Steriliz ou Zanimo is an association that aims to raise awareness among the Mauritian population of the importance of sterilizing animals to limit their proliferation. To pursue its actions more effectively, Moris Steriliz Ou Zanimo is this year launching a project for a mobile veterinary clinic to be in the field.
” Neutering is one of the most ethical and important ways of preventing dogs and cats from being abandoned, and ensuring their well-being. It can prevent aggressive behavior, reproductive diseases and territorial marking. Above all, it helps reduce the number of abandonments. “Manon Luigi Monty, founder ofMoris Steriliz Ou Zanimo. From the outset, she and her team of some forty volunteers have consistently run hard-hitting awareness campaigns.
Initiatives to date include sterilization campaigns in all four corners of the island, pet adoption days and the highly successful Dog Trails. The first edition, held last February, saw 110 participants compete. For the occasion, handlers and their dogs ran a 6 km race. The event raised substantial funds for the association.
Manon Luigi Monty, who always has a thousand and one projects in mind, would now like to set up a mobile veterinary clinic, always with a view to raising awareness of mass sterilization.
A commendable initiative in which everyone can participate on: crowdfund.mu/mass-sterilization-campaign-mobile-sterilization-clinic-1716.html
