P he first private ambulatory surgery clinic in Mauritius, l’was designed to offer surgeries where the patient enters, is operated on and returns home the same day.

Have the operation and go home the same evening

Outpatient hospitalization is a form of medical or surgical care in which the patient stays in hospital for less than 12 hours. Ambulatory care offers a number of advantages, including patient comfort and satisfaction, safety of care with, among other things, reduced exposure to infectious risks, and reduced hospitalization costs. Ambulatory surgery is innovative for Mauritius, despite being the norm in many countries, where over 70% of surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis. At the cutting edge of innovation, the Life I Viva clinic and outpatient operating unit use a number of technologies: building technology and, in particular, air treatment, which complies with some of the strictest quality standards in the world. The unit has been manufactured in Europe to current standards, and the latest-generation instruments enable minimally invasive, less painful and faster surgery. To date, more than 100 procedures (arthroscopy, endoscopy, fibroscopy, ENT, gynecological or general surgery) have already been performed at Life I Viva Ambulatory Clinic.

Life Together, a fast-growing entity

Since its creation, Life Together has expanded rapidly on the island, creating over 70 jobs in less than 12 months, and plans to create more than 400 by 2025, including the HealthScape health and wellness village in Forbach.

“By January 2025, HealthScape will be home to a modern, 100-bed clinic, a nursing home, a senior residence and a day hospital dedicated to rehabilitation. This village is a first in Mauritius and in the region,” declared Arnaud Lagesse, CEO of the IBL Group, at the inauguration. Projects to follow!
