Pains et Moulins, from consumer to reader!

10,000 copies of LGM are delivered monthly to some 400 strategic points on the island. Among them is the Pains et Moulins (P&M) chain. remains a partner in the distribution of our editions, since the launch of La Gazette Mag in 2015.

Every month, around four hundred and twenty copies are added to the dedicated LGM display racks installed in the five P&M outlets: Richmond Hill Complex, in the Super U Grand Baie shopping zone, which in 2021 welcomed the first Chemin 20 pieds store (founded in 2014); Bagatelle (2022); Cap Tamarin (2023); Rogers house in Port Louis (2024); Soflo by Ascencia (2024). “As soon as they see that the LGM display is stocked, our customers take one or two copies, for themselves and for their friends,” says Guillaume Crepet, P&M’s manager.

“In three of our five stores (in Grand Baie, Tamarin and Bagatelle), our artisan bakers and patissiers make everything on site. The other two, Soflo and Rogers house, are distribution outlets. All our chefs are Mauritians, with the exception of our bakery managers, who are French and have a wealth of experience abroad. P&M currently employs around one hundred people and plans to open two further outlets in 2025, in the center, east and north of the country.

To the traditional question of the star product, Guillaume replies: “Customers all come for a product they like, but I think our best-sellers are still our red fruit tarts (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries), our mille-feuilles and chocolate moelleux, and our variety of breads and viennoiseries.” When asked to name his favorite delicacy, he replies without hesitation: ” Le Saint-Honoré.
