Following the success of Confluences in 2020, Swiss pianist and composer François Lindemann presents a new show in Mauritius: Sea of Love. It’s a multicultural, multi-instrumental musical show that depicts the Mauritian sea in its many states. The show features Mauritian artists and from France, Switzerland and India to take you on a spellbinding musical journey.
François Lindemann, the Franco-Swiss pianist and composer who impressed Mauritians in 2020 with his show Confluences, has decided to return to Mauritius with a brand new project inspired by the theme of the sea in all its states. Surrounding the land, nourishing the population, offering swimming and diving among the many aquatic wonders of the Mauritian coast, the sea is alive! The sea also has good and bad stories to tell.
Sea of Love aims to tell all this in a show that brings together different art forms. Songs about the sea and fishing have been arranged and orchestrated by François Lindemann, who will once again be accompanied by some of the best jazz musicians Mauritius has to offer: Philippe Thomas, Samuel Laval, Christophe Bertin, Kersley Pytambar, among others. Jean-Yves L’Onflé will present a live painting performance inspired by Mauritian marine life, and dancer Samuel Joseph will also offer a contemporary dance performance based on the same themes. Jean-Jacques Arjoon will narrate the show. Not to be missed!
