The Bee Guy: saving the bees

Christopher Jost is dedicated to the preservation of bees and offers several honey-based products, as well as beehive restoration services, among others. Meet us. Ray

“I’ve dedicated a large part of my life to nature, animals and environmental protection. A few years ago, I was struck by the seriousness of the threat to bees”, shares Christophe Jost, 34, from Germany. For the past three years, he has been offering professional swarm and/or bee removal services, hive restoration/repair, beekeeping training, sales of raw honey, queens, soaps and candles… ” Products are available on my Facebook page, The Bee Guy, and orders can be placed on WhatsApp with home delivery assured.”

So, for the man nicknamed The Bee Guy, it’s now more than ever time to preserve this endangered species. “It’s a worldwide problem. Bee populations are dwindling and the same applies to Mauritius. It also affects our food production, which depends entirely on their pollinating power,” explains the beekeeper, who is working with all the emergency services to save the bee colonies, one by one.

All in all, Christopher Jost aspires to open a store and is working on a project entitled It’s Your Time to Save the Bees in Mauritius. “The search for financial partners and investors remains arduous… I am also looking for hive sponsors with the aim of guaranteeing the rescued bees a place to relocate with land suitable for the installation of these hives.”
