The first Medine Trail, D-15

The Yemen Nature Reserve, Mauritius’s largest hunting ground, will be the setting for the very first edition of the Medine Trail on Saturday April 29. Exceptionally open to the general public, the 3800-hectare estate of mountains, forests and savannahs, home to deer, hares, brown pigs and endemic flora, has a wealth of surprises in store for novice and seasoned athletes alike!

For nature lovers, beginners or experts, young or old… this trail, organized under the banner of eco-responsibility (no plastic, medals made of wood…), will offer four routes to suit all levels. Both fun and competitive, sporting and environmental, the Medine Trail experience challenges all participants in a friendly, family atmosphere.

The long trail

This race is for the more experienced (aged 18 and over), ready to surpass themselves and tread new paths. 23 km of of natural trails with a 700-meter vertical drop. Start time: 7:00 a.m.

Ultra trail

Reserved for experts in the discipline (aged 18 and over) who want to push their limits even further, this trail of 60 km of natural obstacles, ultra-steep climbs and steep descents, offers a positive vertical drop of 2050 metres and allows the accumulation of qualifying points for the Diagonale des Fous on Reunion Island.
