Yuni, the decorating and furniture address not to be missed!

Spice up your home with Yuni! Set up in a new furniture and decor showroom showroom in Calebasses, part of the Pinpoint construction and renovation complex, Yuni offers a wide range of home furnishings in the pure ethnic chic tradition. A visit is a must!

Ethnic chic is the hottest decorating trend, combining authentic objects brought back from faraway lands and vintage furniture, for those of us who dream of interiors that feel like journeys! With its natural materials and, above all, ancestral know-how, the ethnic chic style is like a glory to Elsewhere.

This aesthetic is first and foremost an art of living that enshrines curiosity and inventiveness within the home. The Yuni showroom, where a large selection of items come from their production unit in Indonesia, is a good example of this approach, as the brand offers unique furniture as well as locally-made bespoke pieces. The showroom also features international brands such as Manutti, Cane Line and Maiori, to name but a few.

Personalized service

Yuni also offers a customer support service for decorating the home from A to Z. “The idea is that people who have bought a property should call on our services to help them furnish their cosy nest exactly the way they want it. We are fortunate to work with a number of partners in a wide variety of furnishing fields: from lighting to linens to kitchens, thanks to the Pinpoint complex, where several complementary brands are already present. The advantage of this “decopack” is that the customer has just one contact for everything, right through to delivery. For example, we can customize the size, configuration, colors and materials of your furniture. Not to mention the fact that we often work with designers who can create bespoke furniture,” explains Kevin Bauwens, Yuni’s Managing Director.

Yuni’s story is as atypical as its showroom! It all began in 1986, when Pascal Bauwens started making furniture in the north of the island, eager to offer Mauritians quality products. Pascal then emigrated to Bali, where he married Yuni, an Indonesian woman who gave her name to the company , which was renamed in 2004. Today, Yuni is run by Pascal’s sons, Bryce and Kevin, and their long-standing business partner, Rony.
